What do solar panels cost?
Real starting prices, fitted, with both government rebates already taken off. We fit panels with a battery — that way none of your sun is wasted, and the battery pays for the inverter the panels need anyway.

Watch out when you compare. A price that looks half ours is usually panels only, with no battery in it. Check what is actually included before you judge on the number.
Prices are for the Fox ESS EQ4800 battery. Other batteries, and other brands, cost different money — tell us what you want and we will price that instead.
Every home is different, so these are starting points, not quotes. Your exact price depends on your roof, your switchboard and the gear you pick. All prices include GST.
What you get
- ✓You use your own power first. On sunny days your home runs on what the panels make, so you take less from the grid. How much you save depends on how much power you use while the sun is up.
- ✓Tier 1 panels, not the cheapest box on the shelf. A tier 1 maker that will still be there if you ever need to claim on the warranty. That is the whole point of paying for a name.

The thing most quotes get wrong
A lot of solar quotes count the power you send back to the grid at 30c. You do not get 30c. In our area you get about 3c.

That one number is how a quote can look better than it really is. Add up a whole year of sunshine at 30c and the payback looks fast. Do it at the 3c you actually get paid and it looks like the truth. We count it at 3c, because that is what lands in your account.
It is also why using your own power beats selling it. Every unit you use yourself saves you the full price you would have paid to buy it back.

about 14 panels · The most popular first system. Good for small and medium homes, with 1 to 3 people.
That is about what a normal home uses in a whole day (around 16 kWh). But you use power day and night, and the panels only work in the day, so your evening power still comes from the grid unless you have a battery. (This is an example figure. We are checking it.)

That is a normal day. You make more in summer, and about 40% less in the middle of winter. You make less under cloud or shade. Roofs facing north make the most. East or west make a bit less.
Making power is not the same as saving money. What you save depends on how much you use while the sun is up. Power you send back to the grid only earns you about 3c per kWh, so using your own is worth much more.
Bigger is not always better. The right size matches how much you use and how much roof you have. We check yours first. Big systems may need us to check how much you are allowed to send back to the grid.
